Subject documented as a Miqo'te of unremarkable height or distinguishable features save for green-teal hair. Overall appearance is outwardly well-kempt and in-line with standard expectations. A man past redemption, whose deeds and actions hang long since condemned him beyond repentance, though he’s never believed in the punishment of a lesser man’s god when he himself looms just as large. While others would regard him as overly egotistic for forming a god complex, Aser believes himself to be capable of keeping his superficial emotions in check and prides himself on the execution of such.Outwardly, Aser refuses to elaborate on any one given topic or another. He’s a cold machiavellian man who refuses to place too many eggs in one basket else should a greener field of grass present itself to him -- all that truly matters is understanding exactly where he’s going and how it can further his own goals. He’s used to fighting, not of sword and magitek, but in the manner of competitively clawing his way up in the world. Born to a pair of Miqo’te in the height of the Garlean empire, Aser had no easy start. Had he not proven himself in his studies from an early age, he would have ended up another corpse in a field as a dead-end Medicus. The Academy is where Aser’s true talent shone, showing a particular fondness towards the pursuit of conquest, political science and the philosophy of great leaders, what kind of methods they employed to gain their purchase over the lands that they inhabited.When he graduated, his thesis came well-received, and paved the path for Aser to assist with the mass-production of Black Rose. An exceptionally dangerous compound for someone like him, but one that fascinated him to no end. The limitations provided to him, being a fresh graduate and not of pure Garlean blood, infuriated him to no end, as he could never grasp the full remedy. It was his own conquest of Sisyphus, a goal post that kept moving, further depriving him of his study, all to what end?

I am completely fine with darker and adult-themed plotlines, as it falls in line with the idea of Aser's character. However, as these can take a toll on my mental health, I would appreciate a warning before extremely heavy things are discussed if irrelevant to the current scene. I am open to discussing just about everything, though I'd like it if you could ask before doing something scarring!I'll be the first to say Aser is a terrible person, he will do terrible things. I'll always look to get consent before pursuing darker plotlines or actions with other characters.
✱ 004. NO METAGAMING/POWERPLAYING
As fun as it can be to have insanely powerful characters that always win a fight due to their roidrage, I'm not interested in interacting or much intense combat-RP pertaining to Aser. When it comes to power scaling in the FFXIV universe, there are a lot of powerful characters out there. Aser is not one of them, and I'm not looking to change that. If I disclose something to you out of character, or you read something in Aser's carrd that wouldn't be public knowledge, please don't bring it up in-character without consulting me first.

Health. Sense of mental awareness and physical well-being have depreciated over time due to his dabbling with poison. It's left great holes in his memory and can lead to erratic, unprecedented behavior. He's often coughing and rarely keeps a full meal down.
Job. His current goal revolves around restoring the Black Rose's recipe and develop a deeper understanding of it.
Morals. Lacks a real sense of morality in pursuit of his goals and as a consequence of his career.
Expensive Taste. Enjoys indulging in finer things in life, especially lavish meals.
Authority. Has troubles with boundaries towards authority and tends to be all-consuming in his adoration. It's difficult for him to distinguish love from high respect.

PETS. Enjoys the idea of having pets, not so much the taking care of them part. He's particularly fond of feral, Eorzean coeurl and wants to keep a large one around on a chain. He's also known to take humanoid pets for his philosophical research.
Memory Loss. He has huge gaps in his memory from the consequences of his studies. He can't remember the face of his mother or his real family surname. It feels like he's missing something important.

✱ IMPERIAL LOYALIST. Aser is loyal to the Garlean Empire first and foremost, excluding himself, and thus defers to their ruling above all else. His Imperial citizenship and rank is something he's worked towards his whole life and he isn't willing to step down from his life's work anytime soon.✱ RESEARCHER. Having studied at a Garlean Academy for much of his life and since honed his skills under his tenure working for the Empire itself, Aser is a very experienced and intelligent chemist. He has a minor in philosophy as well. Aser is currently employed under Vox Dominus as a member of Research & Development.✱ SICKLY. Looking at Aser, it's clear how close he is to sticking one foot in the grave. He scarcely keeps his meals down and spends much of his free time asleep. In between bouts of insomnia and nausea, Aser can end up spiraling into a state of mania.✱ POISON TESTER. Much of Aser's own studies have been conducted on himself before applying them to anyone else, not out of empathy, but rather out of a lack of resources to conduct such experiments. He also finds himself more of a reliable narrator than trying to wrangle firsthand accounts from any of his subjects. One of his thesis papers at the Academy was on the effects of arsenic on the bloodstream when applied in concentrated doses over a long period of time.

Aser's pet and beloved. Trained to heed every command, Aser had once entertained Dragomir with the sole intent of bringing him under heel. A long struggle of power later and they find now themselves as equals-- with Dragomir having wrest Aser from the throes of death and swearing his loyalty in life, Aser was surprised to realize how much he'd fallen for the man beyond the beast. If ever there was someone to conquer the world, Aser thinks he found him.
